When you’re craving a sweet treat to go with a cup of coffee, don’t miss this easy and delicious rice cake recipe.
Rice cakes are usually made with powdered sugar or some other sweetener and are traditionally made with a variety of ingredients, from rice, to vegetables, to meat.
But it’s easy to make this tasty rice cake with just a few simple ingredients.

Heat up a small saucepan over medium heat.
Add the butter, garlic, and ginger and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring often.
Stir in the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minute.
Remove the pan from heat and stir in the brown rice.
Let sit for 10 minutes, then add the rice cake mixture.
Let it sit for another 10 minutes.
Add your desired toppings.
If using cooked rice, add 1 tablespoon of rice to the batter and stir to combine.
If not using cooked, add the other tablespoon of the batter.
If your rice cake is too thick, add a little more rice flour to make it thinner.
If there is too little, add another tablespoon of flour.
If it is too runny, add more liquid or rice milk.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve hot with whipped cream and lemon juice.

If making this rice cake at home, make sure your rice is at least 1/2 cup larger than the recipe calls for.
If the batter is too thin, add extra flour and let sit for 20 minutes before adding the batter to the pan.
