The cost of college has plummeted, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your kids into a crib.
For many parents, it’s not enough to simply pay for college through a loan or scholarship.
They also need to find ways to pay for it themselves.
The National Institutes of Health has created the Cost of College Calculator to help parents calculate how much they’ll have to spend on tuition, room and board, books and supplies.
The calculator works by taking into account factors such as the cost of living, school costs, and the length of your stay in the United States.
And while the calculator doesn’t factor in federal, state or local taxes, it does include the costs of the federal student loan program, the Pell Grant and the work-study program, which can be combined to pay tuition.
